Rubin Singer
Born into this world, exposed from a young age, to THE MOST refined techniques and classic design.
His legacy continued with his son Alik Singer who began working with Rubin at the age of 13. Alik quickly advanced and by the age of 22 became the costume director for the Stanislavsky national Theatre as well as creating costumes for the renowned Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow.
In 1978, Alik and his then preganant, wife Nina defected the soviet Union for promise for a brighter future in west. Arrving in vienna Austria while en route to Paris, where alik had work, Rubin SInger was born.
Alik broght the family to Paris where he established a successful couture business on the rue carbon. the west called again and the early 1980's Alik created his eponymnous brand in New York City and opened his Madison Avenue boutique.
Reared in this world, rubin watched his father work his whole life. he learned about fabrics, patterns, models, workrooms, color, shape, drape, proportions, silhouttes everything and anything that applied to the creation of couture rubin learned from Alik.
